Our office is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. If you have questions or concerns outside of our normal business hours, you may choose from the options below.
You will be able to speak with a pediatrics-trained nurse who gives advice according to the Barton-Schmidt protocols, which are written by pediatricians and used nation-wide for pediatric phone triage. The nurse may recommend treatments to be tried at home, tell you to follow up soon in the office or advise you to take your child to an urgent care or ER depending on what symptoms you describe.
Urgent Care is a great choice for non-life-threatening healthcare needs when the regular doctor's office is closed. They can take care of fevers, colds, COVID/Flu/Strep testing, ear infections as well as stitches, broken bones and more. Patients tend to wait for less time and pay less money than an ER visit.

The Emergency Room is the best choice for life-threatening pediatric health problems such as difficulty breathing, lethargy, altered mental status and trauma. It does tend to be more expensive and waits are longer than found at urgent care.
